The primary focus is on the weekly calls. While there are plenty of “infotainment” products in the sales space, the reality is that most buyers never end up going trough more than 5% of the content. Even if they go trough a course, it’s a one-time dopamine hit. Maybe they change their behaviour for a bit or take away one big lesson, but for the most part the insights wear off.
In my experience, growth in tech sales comes from repeated discussions over a long period of time. This requires to get on calls.
Calls are inconvenient.
They take time.
Sometimes they might be out of your comfort zone.
But they will help you grow. This is not your company training or coaching session where you need to “save face”.

Why did I create The
Tech Sales community?
The industry just went trough brutal 2 years, with at least 260k layoffs in 2023 alone.
Many companies are completely rethinking their GTM approach, focusing on sales productivity and coverage for consumption-driven business models. In practice that means that hiring and promotions for sales roles has been limited and is not likely to have the same type of explosive growth we saw in the past.
Not only that, but with profitability becoming a key metric on the mind of most CFOs. There are a lot more discussions internally on whether companies are overpaying for their sales teams.
There is an extraordinary opportunity ahead of us in the industry. We also think that it will be difficult for most to actually benefit from it.
